Europe’s elite go head-to-head in the last 16 phase of this season’s UEFA Champions League in late February and early March and fans can follow all the drama live on ITV and Sky Sports.

Three of the four English teams – Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal – have progressed through to the knockout stages, with only Liverpool missing out after failing to beat Swiss side Basel on the final matchday in December.

Following the round of 16 draw at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Manchester City will face a repeat of their tie with four-times winners Barcelona from last season, Chelsea meet fellow big-spenders Paris St Germain, while Arsenal will take on Arsene Wenger’s former club Monaco.

Barcelona, who last won the competition in 2011, knocked Premier League champions City out at the same stage last year and boast the competition’s all-time record goalscorer in Lionel Messi.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side, who needed a 2-0 win at Roma in their final Group E game to qualify in second place, will play host to Barcelona at Etihad Stadium on February 24, live on ITV, before heading to the Nou Camp on March 18, which will be shown by Sky Sports.

2012 winners Chelsea have been drawn against French champions PSG, who they overcame at the quarter-final stage in last year’s tournament but who suffered just one defeat during an impressive group stage campaign this time around.

The first leg between the two sides will be played on February 17 and broadcast live on ITV, with the return leg at Stamford Bridge exclusively live on Sky Sports in March.

In terms of the English sides left in the competition, the draw has perhaps been kindest to Arsenal, who will take on Wenger’s former club Monaco, with the first leg at the Emirates live on Sky Sports on February 25, while ITV will show the deciding leg on March 17.

The French club have former Premier League champions Ricardo Carvalho and Dimitar Berbatov on their books and finished top of a group that included Bayer Leverkusen, Zenit St Petersburg and Benfica – despite scoring just four goals.

Elsewhere, reigning champions Real Madrid have been drawn against Schalke, one of four German teams in the last 16, with the second leg of this tie at the Bernabeu to be shown live on ITV on March 10, while Bayer Leverkusen take on Atletico Madrid, and Borussia Dortmund have drawn Italian champions Juventus.

Bayern Munich, the 2013 champions, face a trip to Ukraine to face Shakhtar Donetsk, while Swiss side Basel, who knocked Liverpool out of the competition, will take on Porto, whose only defeat in any competition this season has come in the Portuguese Cup.

Watch every moment from this season’s UEFA Champions League live across ITV and Sky Sports from the autumn’s group stage fixtures to the final in May.

Jeff Stelling fronts Sky Sports’ coverage of all the big games live on Sky Sports 5, while Mark Pougatch takes over from Adrian Chiles as ITV’s lead football presenter, starting with Chelsea’s trip to PSG on February 17.

Both broadcasters, who have shared coverage of the competition since 2003, are in their final season covering live matches from Europe’s premier club competition before the rights pass over to rivals BT Sport from 2015/16.

All 16 ties from the Round of 16 stage will be broadcast live on ITV and Sky Sports, with ITV screening the first pick of all Tuesday night ties during this phase, kicking off with Chelsea’s away clash against Paris St-Germain on February 17.

Sky Sports will show all other 12 ties, including Arsenal’s home first leg against Monaco on February 25, followed in March by both Chelsea and Manchester City’s second leg ties against Paris St-Germain at Stamford Bridge and Barcelona at the Nou Camp respectively.

Keep up to date with all the latest UEFA Champions League reports, goal flashes and results from both broadcasters by following ITV Football on Twitter @itvfootball or via Sky Sports dedicated feed @SkySportsCL.
